Escaping from Lawful Custody:

Omaruru - Between 21/04/2017 at about 21:00 and 22/04/2017 at 05:30, Johannes Immanuel 21-year-old allegedly escaped from holding cells were he was kept with other inmates after he saw the burglar bars. Police investigations continue.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Katutura Court on 21/04/2017.

Kahenge: Attempted Murder:

On 22/04/2017 at about 00:00 at a Shebeen in Kayeura Village, an 18-year-old Namibian male was allegedly assaulted with a metallic car pump all over the body by two suspects aged 29 and 39 years respectively.

It is alleged that the victim was assaulted after he questioned the driving skill of one of the suspect (driver) who tried to bump him. The victim is admitted at Rundu State Hospital and is said to be in a critical condition. The suspects are arrested. Police investigations continue.

Noordoewer: Inquest On 22/04/2017 at about 24:00 at Noordoewer Location, Namolo Kefas Trophy 1 month baby boy allegedly died after he was breastfed by his mother. The cause of death is unknown. Police investigations continue. .

Impalilia: Inquest:

On 23/04/2017 at about 09:00 at Makoma Village, Kasika Area, the body of Kamwengo Simajene 44-year-old Zambian male was found floating in a stream. It is alleged that the deceased left his village on 20/04/217 with a canoe. The next of kin are informed. Police investigations continue. .

Opuwo: Inquest:

On 23/04/2017 at about 20:00 at Okatumba Village, Kaveisiua Tjiraso 36-year-old Namibian female allegedly hanged herself with a piece of cloth in her sleeping room. No suicide note was found. The next of kin are informed. Police investigations continue .
