On 17/09/2017 at about 11:00; a 40 years old man was allegedly busy cutting his 200ltr empty drum with a grinder but failed to open the lid and as a result, the drum exploded and hit him on the head causing serious head injuries.

The victim was admitted at Walvis Bay State Hospital in a critical condition..

At Goreangab location, Water Point - The suspect in this matter was arrested on 17.09.2017 and appeared today, 19.09.2017 in the Katutura magistrate court. His licensed pistol was confiscated.

He is David Rooinasie a Nam male aged 38 yrs old. The condition of the male victim remains critical in Katutura State Hospital ICU.

The owner of Jan Japan was robbed on 18 September 2017, morning hours at his flat in Dorado park. Circumstances surrounding access into the flat is under investigation as there was no break in and the boundary wall and electric fence were not cut.

It is alleged that five to six tall suspects entered into the flat armed with firearms and irons and demanded money from the victim. They manage to flee with cash N$40000.00, two laptops, four cell phones and one tablet.

Oshakati -Attempted Robbery with aggravating circumstances on 18 September 2017 at about 01H00, the victim, a Security guard (53) was on duty, guarding at Pep store at Eluwa Complex, Oshakati when he was allegedly attacked by unknown men who pointed him with a fire arm before attacking him.

The guard fought the suspects and overpowered them however sustained injuries. The suspects failed in their operation of robbing the store.

 On 17 September 2017 around 17:20 at Oshitutuma village, Ogongo constituency, Omusati Region. It is alleged that the deceased drowned in the water canal behind Unam Agricultural Campus at the said village.

No foul play is suspected. The deceased is Salafi Mateus, Namibian male, six (6) years old.
